WIG effect or “Ground effect” is a phenomenon of increase of a lift force and reduction of inductive resistance of a wing approaching a surface.

WIG craft

WIG craft is a multimodal craft which, in its main operational mode, flies by using ground effect above the water or some other surface, without constant contact with such a surface and supported in the air, mainly, by and aerodynamic lift generated on a wing(wings), hull, or their parts, which are intended to utilize the ground effect action.

Article 4. 45.1. 'A-Type'

A craft which is certified for operation only in ground effect.

Article 4. 45.2. 'B-Type'

A craft which is certified for main operation in ground effect and to temporarily increase its altitude outside ground effect to a limited height, but not exceeding 150m above the surface.

Fuel Efficiency / Low Cost

WIG craft is flying with WIG Effect only that makes more a fuel efficient than light aviation flight and vessel.
Fuel efficiency is lower that compares it with 50% of helicopter and 20~30% of vessel.


WIG craft provide the finest boarding comport that eliminates turbulence, rolling, pressurization and seasickness.
WIG craft designed triple hull makes it impossible to flip over in the water.
WIG craft is able to safely glide down to the surface of the water in the event of engine failure.

Low Maintenance Cost

Corrosion-free structure made from composite sandwich.
Simple construction and design reduces the number of moving parts.
Only requires are simple wash down after daily use, and standard engine and propeller overhauls.

Minimum Infrastructure

WIG craft doesn’t need huge airstrip or harbor.
It is able to take off in 500m on surface of water.
Simple mooring & berthing place to carry tourist and cargos is needed, even Island when commercial flight doesn’t reach.
Moreover, it is advantage that need low cost to build infrastructure than any other transportation.

Operation Convenience

It is easy to transfer, storage, and shipping.

The age of WIG craft is 20 years.
Assemble time can be an hour, and It has detachable wing structure.
It means that easy to load on container, overland transportation and reduction of maintenance.

Simple Mooring / berthing

WIG craft marina can be constructed by pontoon that means simple & light docking system and facility with low cost infrastructure.
